Q. First of all, what is "The Shooting Stars Collection: A Gundam Wing Image Archive"?

A. It's a family-friendly fansite for the Japanese animation Gundam Wing. There are over 6400 pictures in the image galleries and the site also has a nice selection of original fan-created stories, chibi stories and fanart.

Q. What's a Chibi?

A. "Chibi" (pronounced chee bee) is the Japanese word for "child." In the Anime fandom, chibis are the child-versions of the characters in Japanese animation. It's the same concept as "Flintstones' Kids" or "Tom & Jerry Kids" for some American cartoons.

Q. What is Anime?

A. It is the word that is used when refering to Japanese animation.

Q. Who's operates this site?

A. Melody, who is one of the webmistresses of "The Shooting Stars Collection." Tegan, her 24-year old daughter, is co-webmistress. Melody is also the webmommie of the "Chibi Board of Directors", who "help" to run this site as well as the main site. ^_~ Tegan is the chibis' websister.

A. John is Melody's husband, Tegan's father and the webdaddy of the "Chibi Board of Directors." And he's a fabulous cook!

Q. What is the purpose of having a recipe site as an off-shoot of an Anime site?

A. Because it's a fun way to share John's recipes with other people. He is frequently asked for his recipes.

Q. What's a "Neko"?

"Neko" is the Japanese word for "cat." Sometimes characters from Anime are drawn by fanartists as cats. We don't know why, but they sure are cute!
