Richan's Goulash

Ingredients

One 12 ounce package frozen vegetarian ground beef substitute (I used Morningstar Griller Recipe Crumbles)

One 16 ounce package of pasta (I used elbow macaroni)

2-26 oz/454 g. jars spaghetti sauce (I used Prego Chunky Garden Combo)

olive oil

Toppings (Optional)

Pizza seasoning (to sprinkle on)

Shredded cheese (I used mozerella), can be vegan cheese.

Equipment Needed:

1 large strainer

1 large frying pan

1 large sauce/boiling pan 1 medium sauce pan (with lid)

1 spatula

1 large scooping spoon

1 noodle-scooper-upper-spoonlike thingy (you'll know what I'm talking about ^.~)

3 stove-top burners

1 kitchen sink

very talented/gifted or else three hands

Steps to Make (estimated time so use your better judgement please)

Note: Do not cook while reading instructions or you'll mess up. Read instructions all the way through first!!!!!!!!!!! The instructions will jump around a bit o.o...

1. Fill the large pan with water, enough to cook the pasta in. Put it on the stove and set the temperature to high, or high as it will go without catching the house on fire.

2. (large saucepan and noodle scooping spoon) Wait for water to boil rapidly. When it begins boiling pour in the pasta. Boil the pasta according to package directions or until it's tender. Stir noodles occasionally to get it cooked through fully and evenly. Use salt to keep them from sticking.

3. (medium saucepan and scooper spoon) After you have poured the pasta in, put the sauce in a pan and cook it on medium until it is heated through.

4. (frying pan and spatula) Also after you have poured the pasta in to boil pour 3 or 4 capfulls of oil into the frying pan or enough to cover the bottom of the pan. Pour in the vegetarian ground beef stuff and stir it around with the spatula. Turn the temperature on medium. Wait for sizzling sound and then stir up the "ground beef" stuff. Continue this process, stirring frequently while waiting for the noodles.

5. Put the ground beef stuff (if it's browned or hot) into the sauce and stir it, raising the heat to medium again. Don't forget to turn off the burner for the frying pan and maybe put the pan in the sink after it cools down a bit to get it out of the way.

6. When the noodles are done, have the strainer waiting in the sink. Dump the noodles carefully into the strainer. You might need potholders if the handles of the pan are made of metal like mine were (ouch). Then put the noodles back in the large pan, very carefully.

7. Turn off the burner for the sauce and veggie-beef mixture. Carefully pour the sauce over the noodles, while keeping the large pan's burner on medium. Stir the stuff until it's all evened out. Reduce heat to low or turn it off. It's time to chow down!

Servings: Number of servings depends on the size of your bowl
